'500 Days of Summer (review)
🎥 500 Days of Summer.
'500 Days of Summer' is a romantic comedy film depicting the highs and lows of
the relationship between Tom Hansen and Summer Finn.
In the movie '500 Days of Summer', Tom is searching for true
love when he meets finally meets Summer. However, Summer doesn’t feel the same
way, she is certain that there is no such thing as true love
. A movie in which a boy finds his boss’ new
assistant (Miss Summer) attractive, but doesn’t hesitate to talk to her. One
day, she and (Tom) are in the elevator, and she hears the song out of his
earphones and talks to him. Eventually, they talk out more and more, making
them good friends. But they were not casual/normal friends. I mean normal
friends don’t kiss each other, don’t push themselves on the bed, and so on. Do
it was more like friends with benefits. Both of them were happy; happiness
mattered the most to them. Summer had a view that there are no such things as
Love and everything is just a fantasy, love it, be happy and move on. However,
Tom wanted a consistent and permanent relationship with her. After on, she
loses interest in herself, and she acts differently. She’s not there to say yes
to Tom’s question as if they are boyfriend and girlfriend. Summer is afraid of
love and deep relationships; she thinks that these attachments are just another
way of hurting herself. So, eventually, she was being different, moreover, she
left the workplace. Now Tom and summer were like far friends, who do not meet
every day or hang out. They rarely talk. One day Tom was invited to summer’s
event and there he came to know that she is engaged. His little sister tried to
help her, but it took time, a lot of time.
He moved on, worked on himself and was invited to an
interview for his dream job.
But before that, He met Summer. Summer was the same; she had
married a random guy, had the same thought that happiness mattered to her the
most, and for her happiness, she could do anything. Tom was shocked to see her
at his favorite spot. But, after all, she was married and had no regrets about
leaving Tom. She just passed her time, enjoyed the moments and moved on.
Emotions didn’t mean to her I guess, memories didn’t. Or
maybe she was good at hiding them. Maybe or maybe not.
But all I know now is that Summer betrayed Tom. People
rarely think of others, especially to whom they were once attached. They don’t
give a damn shit about you and your feelings.
And I agree with the statement that there’s no love, it’s
just a fantasy, an infatuation and attachment
